On 17 December 2021, Fiji experienced Tropical Cyclone “Yasa”, with Catagory 5 intensity which made landfall over Vanua Levu. It caused major destruction to infrastructure, buildings and agricultural. It was one of the strongest storm in the basin since Tropical Cyclone Winston in 2021.
VSIAF teamed up with other members of the Disability Sector in accessing specific needs for Persons with Disabilities in the north who were affected by TC “YASA”.
